Unfortunately, Cussler's style makes it sound on the clunky dialogue (I ask you to take the murder of the scum) and improbable characters of the time figured good novels, and in-depth research his descriptions such as advertising. Once in San Francisco by the earthquake of 1906 and the principles to make a pair of fire-breathing locomotives, the novel cranks a head of steam and some high-speed thrills aboard. (Nov.)
